Default moving to phase 2 soon

Hi
I will be moving to phase 2 in 4 days, Ive lost 8 pounds so far. I hope to lose a few more by monday. If i dont ill be happy with the 8. Im scared to move on because im afraid to add the breads and fruits. I guess im afraid of gaining back what ive lost so far. I have a picture in my mind of how i want to look and what i want to wear. I know i can do it. I need some encouragement.
Thanks

Just remember to transition slowly, add 1 serving of fruit or 1 serving of a starch for the first 5-7 days before adding another serving of either one. Early P2 is still very much like P1, so it really isn't a big change all at once. And plateauing or gaining a bit is normal as well as you replenish some of the glycogen stores and water weight that P1 depleted. Again, nothing really to worry about. this is a long term program and short term fluctuations are really nothing to stress about.

And finally, the two categories to add are fruits and starches and breads and other whole grain flour based products are a small part of the starches category. In general it's a better idea to add whole grains that are more in their whole form like brown rice, barley, quinoa, steel cut oats and so forth rather that whole wheat breads, pastas and other flour based products which are much more highly processed. And the category also includes a whole variety of starchy veggies that aren't grains at all. So consider starting with a starchy veggie or a whole grain more in it's whole form first before jumping into breads and pastas.

Good luck! Remember that P2 is the real program where we learn how to eat healthily for the rest of our life. It's a long term process and you have to start sometime! No time like the present!
