| I'm asking because when I did SBD, I ended up gaining 2 pounds my first week while my husband lost. I looked over my journal and didn't cheat at all and I exercised. The ONLY thing I can think of why the weight gain was because I didn't weigh my food like I normally do.

| Were you following the meal model for portion size recommendations or eating as much as you like of the allowed P1 foods? It is possible to overeat too much of the allowed calorie dense type foods and self-sabotage yourself that way without necessarily meaning to. Also if you are approaching TOM, you may simply be retaining more water. Or you might have had something salty the day before you weighed? Scales measure everything so are not really a great indicator of actual progress as our weight varies quite a bit from day to day and even within a 24 hour period. Your best bet is focusing on long term trends to see what is really happening! Good luck!! (And men always lose weight more quickly! | |||||||||||
