I wanted to stress how important it is to move to phase 2 after 2 weeks. 1st, phase 1 is not healthy to maintain for any length of time outside of the plan by SB. 2nd, you may find yourself stuck at a plateau and not seeing success, sounds weird but by adding in some of the foods on phase 2 the weight will come off again.
This is not the fastest way to lose weight. there are other plans that you lose more weight quicker. this is a way to lose weight and maintain health.

Studies have come out that suggest there may be some people that have long term heart problems following the Atkins plan. Phase 1 is too close to Atkins induction to stay on it for along time.
I know its scary to add back food, because your thinking to yourself "its food that got me like this in the 1st place "
Thats both true and false. Its bad choices in food that got you that way, lack of exercise as well.
remember phase 1 is to lose your cravings not to lose weight, if you find after 2 weeks you only lost 2 pounds so what? there is no fail with this. this is a lifestyle change, your eating better foods. add in exercise and you have gained a huge foothold in losing weight and being healthy.
stick to the plan and you will reap the benifits.
