| Would need a lot more info to even to begin to make guesses. height, weight, age, how much are you trying to lose, what does a typical daily menu (food and beverages) look like with timing and quantities and so forth. In general, you might be eating too little, eating too much of the calorie dense foods, have little water weight to lose to begin with or any number of reasons really. It's a slow weight loss program anyway. And it's a program for life that works best with consistency and longevity, so the rate of loss really isn't all that important. Just keep going! | |||||||||||

| I'm 5'4", 112lbs, 47 years old. I'm trying to lose about 7 lbs. I have low blood sugar and eat a lot of cheese, turkey, meat to keep my blood sugar up. I am eating a lot of salads and veggies too. Eggs for breakfast but am totally sick of eggs. I also drink a ton of water. It seems to me like I'm doing everything right, but if this gives you any insight into why I'm not losing, please let me know! Thanks! | ||||||||||

| Most likely because you have so little to lose and you are already in the lower half of the "normal" category for your height and weight on the BMI scale and you are trying to push it into the "underweight" category. A better indicator is that you might lose 10%-20% of the total you are trying to lose in P1, so a more reasonable expectation is that you might at best expect to lose .7 to 1.5 lbs in P1. But really with so little to lose, you should probably just be in P2 and realize that losing those last 5-10 lbs are mostly an exercise in patience and a long term healthy lifestyle. You should be including dairy and beans to help keep your blood sugars up and maybe less cheese as that is fairly calorie dense. Be sure to review the food lists and meal models in each of the P1 and P2 forums for recommendations of how to put the foods in the food lists together for full healthy balanced SB meals and snacks. Veggies should be 4.5 cups minimum per day for instance as this is much more a vegetable based program than a protein based one. I'd really try to focus more on creating a healthy sustainable lifestyle at this point than worrying about those last few pounds on the scale. Good luck and best wishes! | |||||||||||

| Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply. I'll add more veggies. I've always been about 105, even after losing post-baby weight, but I have about 7 lbs in my tummy and would like to get it off before going to Hawaii next month. | ||||||||||

| Understand the desire, but this was never meant to be a quick weight loss plan. When I got down into the range you were in with weight left to lose, I was very happy with about a pound a month. (although that was after a full 9-12 months in P2) Some do it faster I'm sure, but at that stage it just takes time was my own personal experience. Maybe yours will be different!
