| I am new to the site and have only been doing SBD for 3/4 days. I am trying to be sure and eat the correct things and I was wondering if Ecrich Sausage links are legal in Phase 1? Thanks, Rick | ||||||||||

| There are P1 food lists and meal models as sticky topics in this P1 forum to help you identify what foods you can have and how to organize them into coherent daily meal plans. Turkey or chicken based sausages are usually lean enough to work, but "lean meats" in general for SB purposes need to be 90% lean or better. So you would need to look at the nutritonal panel and do the math to see if that is the case. (Take the total fat in grams per serving size divided by the total serving size in grams to find the actual percentage of fat. It needs to be 10% or less to be SB friendly. (Note you can't use the percentages to the right of the grams of components on the nutritional panel as those are something completely different than the percentages of that component in the food. You have to do the actual calculations.) HTH! | |||||||||||
