| This week I have been gathering information and foods in order to be ready to start (and waiting until after the party yesterday ). Today will be day 1 for me.Some of the things that I know I need to work on asap: water consumption - I know how well my body works when hydrated and for some reason in the last month I just have not been drinking the right amounts exercise - I have not been to the gym since school started in the beginning of September. Time to climb back up on the elliptical. mind set - I need to stop thinking "its ok if I screw up today, there is always tomorrow" well there is not always tomorrow because tomorrow never seems to get here! If I screw up I fix it right away and move on, not continue the slid and start again tomorrow! Now a food question - I made italian wedding soup for my family yesterday. I used whole wheat pasta - which I did not put into the soup but rather kept out for them to add to the broth, escarole and meatballs. The meatballs are made of 2/3 90% ground beef and 1/3 ground pork. I did not use bread in them or breadcrumbs. Is the soup ok to eat without the pasta? | The ground pork is probably not lean enough, but it's probably OK in the quantities you are eating. Extra saturated fat is more of a health issue and a calories issue than a messing with your blood sugars issue. Make sure you review the meal models in this p1 forum for how to put together a good SB friendly daily menu and if you do exercise, make sure you are getting in all your good P1 carb sources to support your activity levels.
