Okay, so remember how I just KNEW that my chocolate-craving-sweet-tooth would get me off track for SB diet? Well, I was right! It was definitely a self-fulfilling prophesy, though. This little beauty, the 3-minute Chocolate Mug Cake was the temptation that I fell for. 3 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE | Recipes
It was so cute and easy that I wanted to try it at least once! But... I ended up trying it 3 times in order to perfect it.![]()
I should have tasted each one but given the rest of it to a family member or something.
Now that I'm back home from college for the summer, it has been both easier and tougher to stay on the diet. It's easier because we usually have salad AND a SB-acceptable protein to add (unlike my University's cafeteria). But it's also tougher because we also have items like baggies of "gorp" (chocolate chips, dried cranberries and pecan pieces. This has too much sugar for Phase 1), yogurt and frozen pizzas (and plenty of more sinful and sometimes sugary things in the liquor cabinet that can be added to the fruit juice or sodas that my folks have stocked in the fridge.)
Also, it has been high-stress back home because I have been on the hunt for a job to hold here until I am ready to go back to school in the Fall. Since the economy is bad, I've been having no luck. And I tend to stress-eat. I decided to come back to these forums and post my problems... hoping to find a solution for my falling off the wagon.
I'll be going to Disney World for the day this Saturday, and I was hoping to avoid food temptations there, too. It helps that I am not bringing my wallet.Which might be stupid, but I know I can make it through by brown bagging some SB-acceptable foods and plenty of bottled waters. Does anybody have any suggestions for portable, SB phase 1 (or 2...) foods I could bring in my bag? (It's a large side bag, and I can fit 2 brown bag lunches in there and renting a locker is an option too). So far, I was thinking for snacks: a mini snack-bag of pecan halves (15 or so pecan halves), a sugar-free Jello, frozen bottled water to keep a couple of cheese sticks cold, and a mini snack-bag of carrot sticks. For lunch, I was hoping to pack a salad (with ham, low-fat cheese and sb diet ranch dressing) in a little tupperware container and stick it in a locker with a couple frozen water bottles. In the Florida heat, I really don't know if that would work. But we'll see. We'll be staying for dinner, too, which is the real problem. I don't think I could keep anything meal-sized cold for that long. We'll be getting to the park at around 9 o'clock and staying until dinner time. This is where I might have to buy something, but I don't know. It seems like nothing is healthy at Disney World! (We're going to Magic Kingdom, where greasy, huge, Turkey Legs, hot dogs, cheeseburgers and lots of other carb-ish things are sold.)
I was also wondering if anybody had any calorie busting exercises that they use when they feel like they've cheated on their diet? I cheated with that cake, and I want to feel good about myself again, and kick-start my exercise routine with something that I KNOW is working to burn those extra calories off. I've been using the exercises on fitnessmagazine.com and they seem to help, but I don't know. Sometimes they can be a little complicated.
I'm trying to target my back-fat (ew) because I have a little back muffin top going on, and my inner-thighs (so I can look cute in shorts. That's the only problem with my legs right now. My inner thighs).
Thank you for taking the time to read this! I sure am in trouble! Please help me out.![]()
