| Well, I think I messed up! I just had tomato soup and tuna for lunch, but then I read the back of the soup and it had 12g of sugar per serving! I am not a veggie eater and I thought it would be a good way to get veggies in! Did I ruin my first day??? | ||||||||||

| Tomatoes do have naturally occurring sugar in them but that is usually around 6 grams or less per serving. Check the label to see if you can identify any added sugar - like High Fructose Corn Syrup, sugar, molasses, dextrose, maltitol, maltdextrin, or something sounding like that. If any of those ingredients are on there, then yeah, you had a dose of sugar today. But don't get too worked up. You are learning to read labels so this is part of finding out what is acceptable or not. Keep vigilant with your foods and push forward..:Hug1: | ||||||||||

| Poo! High Fructose COrn Syrup is ingredient #3 - Campbells is now VERY low on my list! Why did they have to insert their HFCS into my Phase 1! Well, I suppose it's better than a bowl of ice cream! Thanks- Amy | ||||||||||

| Doesn't that suck? I hate the food industry for that. Better that you found out now! Have you tried making the gazpacho soup from the blue SB book? It is devine! You make it with either tomato juice or V8. You can make your own tomato soup from this too and not have the HFCS in it! Just keep plugging. You learned a valuable lesson today:Hug1: | ||||||||||

| They are so sneaky, aren't they? Consumers should be able to trust that detrimental substances aren't being added to their foods! With the costs of healthcare & obesity going up up up, why should they be allowed to put those substances in food & contribute to diseases? At least we're learning what to keep looking out for. I'll get off my soapbox now.... | ||||||||||
