| Im just visiting from Phase 1 and would like to know your experience switching from I to II. Specifically, how did you go about it, did something work, did something fail, did you have any physical reactions or just tell me your story. I realize we have our own experiences but I am trying to be :Read: I appreciate stickies and will probably read them repeatedly heree (and then run back to phase I :wink2 In phase I, I had a paid research study (baked fries) and did well with control but late that night I lost it to cravings. Prior and since I have been squeeky clean but I left with carb phobia. I feel like an AA member trying to introduce tequila into my daily diet. If I never make it over come visit me in phase I. . | ||||||||||

| Sun I highly recommend reading the sticky called, "How to transition into Phase 2". It has the answers to what you are seeking. There is a thread under the "switching from Lo Carb to SB" that talks about carbphobia. :Read: As far as stories go, Phase 2 is a trial and error process that is unique to every individual. My reactions may not be the same as your reactions. This is like a science experiment. You start slowly introducing the grains and fruits back into your diet (see the sticky) and gauge the reaction the foods have to your body. For me, I can't eat oatmeal without getting ravenously hungry for the rest of the day. I don't read many posts from dieters who have a problem with oatmeal so that is just my genetics. I can't eat bananas without being bloated for 2 days afterwards. Mangoes cause me cravings. But that doesn't mean any of these foods will trigger the same response from you. Some foods that are legal also cause cravings or portion control problems. Some people can't stick to the serving size for nuts and I have no problem with that. But I can't stick to the serving size of dark chocolate. Matter of fact a lot of us on this board are finding that we can't do that!! So read the stickies, stick to the recommended serving sizes and record your experiences. Once in Phase 2 a lot of us start a journal in the Journa's forum to track our progress and see where we need to make ajustments. None of the bumps in the road we encounter are mistakes. They are learning tools that help us tailor the diet to our own uniqueness. And without introducing new foods one at a time, we would have never discovered these things!!!! Good luck and let's hear from you in the journals about your progress!! | ||||||||||
