I have been on diet for 4 weeks. I feel like I am actually getting fatter, yet I have lost notch in my belt. My leg fat between my thighs is bigger and my underarm flab is more noticable. I lift weights and walk. Any veterans give me any advice as I find what my body is doing is odd. One thing I notice is that there seems to be a lot of saturated fat in my diet that wasnt there before from the eggs, oils, lite cheeses etc. Before SB diet, I was just watching my carbs and fat grams.

If you're not comfortable with this way of eating, you certainly don't need to continue with it. If you do stay with SBD, you don't need to eat cheese or eggs if you choose not to. You can use other sources of lean protein instead. SBD does have less saturated fat than most ways of eating.

There could be reasons your inner thighs and underarms seem more fatty that have nothing to do with the SBD foods. Age, or lifestyle and activity change could be factors. Your situation sounds like it could have to do with muscle mass. Perhaps the exercise you're doing isn't targeting the areas you're concerned about. Perhaps you're not following the SBD the way it's written & are missing eating the right foods. Perhaps you're not eating enough, so are losing muscle mass.

Perhaps you're paying more attention to those body parts and before didn't notice fat there as much. You don't mention any objective measure of knowing how those body parts are changing.

Hope this might help. Good luck.

Chubbywan can you give us an example of a daily menu including quantities? This might help determine what is going on. Also give us an example of your daily menu before the plan. Thanks.

I don't know of anyone who has gained weight from eating on this plan so you would be a first. There's got to be a logical explanation for what is going on.
