Default Do I have to start over?

Okay.....so my siggy says 201.4, but I am now 200.4......so one pound lost in three weeks.....I'm NOT very happy with that. I did however start working out almost to the day.....three weeks ago.....could that be part of it? maybe inches instead of pounds? I haven't measured, but I started doing step aerobics three days a week and this week I have added in an additional 2 days of treadmil work......BUT.....no loss.....I'm totally baffeled and quite depressed........to be honest, I have screwed up two days in a row......last night I had 5 candy corns and today I have had 5......does this mean I should restart phase 1? Should I do it to kick start the weight loss again? I feel in control and can be quite sure that I am not going to eat them anymore......ut this scale thing has me totally thrown off.......ugh......someone please help.....a typical day for me menu wise goes like this.......

I'm no expert but I would say that 10 candy corns is no reason to start over. If you were pigging out on crispy cremes or ice cream for that matter, I would think about it. But my answer would be no.
You have to measure. You most likely have lost inches. How do your clothes feel? Any looser? You may be building muscle and that's the reason the scale isn't showing it.
I don't know any reason why you wouldn't be loosing more, by your menu it looks like you're doing awesome.
Hopefully, someone who's experienced that same thing can help you out here.
Good luck and hang in there.

Default just a word to the wise

dont be a slave to your scale......throw it out the window....i do not weigh in at all.... i go by how my clothes are fitting me....and btw.... if your gonna cheat make it something worth while....candy corn...(gross)...have a mounds bar or something like that...(kidding of course)....funny thats the only candy my mom would buy for the candy dish....Cause no in the house would touch it with a ten foot pole.....she would end up throwing it out after halloween....as for you starting over I would say try and do a squeaky clean two weeks on phase one...no cheats at all....then slowly break your self into more carbs...as a matter of fact this is day one for me back on the beach so why dont you join me in a squeaky clean challange....frenchfri

that sounds good.......I started this morning......in phase one....although I just read a south beach email that I get and it said that the south beach allows for treats sometimes.....here it is........

Five Tricks for Managing Treats advertisement

Sometimes it seems as though Halloween is just an excuse for kids (and the rest of us) to eat candy. If you're wondering how to enjoy the holiday while sticking to the sound eating principles of the South Beach Diet®, here are a few tricks to put in your bag. The following FEATURED SPONSOR

five strategies are foolproof ways to survive Halloween without compromising your healthy lifestyle:

Provide healthy alternatives for you and your kids. Keep a ready supply of nuts, reduced-fat cheese sticks, and fresh fruit on hand throughout the day. This strategy works for two reasons: It satisfies your hunger so you won't need to snack on candy to fill you up, and it keeps blood sugar levels stable and, thus, moderates cravings and minimizes your urge to splurge on sweets.
Hand out inedible treats. If you're concerned that a steady supply of candy in the house will interfere with your progress, consider handing out inedible treats instead. Stickers, sugar-free gum, colorful pencils, and trading cards are some good options.
Keep a snack stash at the office. Be prepared for the fact that many co-workers will bring in leftover candy. Store South Beach Diet®-friendly snacks (such as high-fiber whole-grain crackers, dried apricots, and roasted soybeans) in your desk so you're prepared with alternative munchies.
Delight in dark chocolate. The South Beach Diet® is a lifestyle that allows for occasional indulgences. This means that it's okay to have a piece (or two) of Halloween candy. The best choice is a small amount of dark chocolate, since it's rich in antioxidant compounds that have been shown to lower blood pressure and improve blood sugar metabolism in healthy individuals. No matter what type of candy you choose, Marie Almon, M.S., R.D., Nutrition Director of the South Beach Diet, has this advice: "Take three bites and savor each one."
????: South Beach Diet Forums http://www.southbeachdietbulletinboard.com/showthread.php?t=1292
Steer clear of the clearance rack. After Halloween is over, stores will put the candy on sale to make room for other seasonal merchandise. Keep in mind what you've gained by adopting the healthy eating principles of the South Beach Diet® — like more energy, self-esteem, and, best of all, better health — as well as the weight you've lost. Staying focused on your goals and accomplishments will help you stay on track — and leave the sale candy on the shelves.

anyway.....so I think I will do phase one for ONE week to get the scale moving and just chalk up the candy corn to an occasional indulgence....is that smart? Would anyone else handle it the same way?
