| Hi everyone, i'm new in this, and this is my story: facts: female. 22 years old, low-metabolism girl, 1.59 tall (don't now in feet), ideal weight according to chart is 120 ponds, current weight: 145! well. i started SBD on May 27, 2007; after 4 weeks of no-cheating and hard effort i weighted 9 pounds less!! i was so happy. Then i started with phase 2, and so far since (since June 25) i've been strictly following this menu: -4 days week: breakfast: 1/2 cup old fashoned oatmeal+1 cup of skim milk+1 cup coffe+ 4 splenda (2 for coffee and 2 for oatmeal), 3 days a week: 1 egg+2 slices of mozzarella cheese+1/2 tomatoe+1 slice of turkey ham mid mornig snack: half a grapefruit or half apple lunch: 2 cups of veggies (the rigth ones: no potateo, beefs, corn, etc) + skinless chichen breast, or grilled fish or grilled steak mid afernoon snack: 1 cup of coffee+2plenda + chopped cucumber 8no dressing) or 1/2 apple dinner: 1cup of veggies+soup (made of concentrate like maggie, with no noodles) (2-3 days a week) or 1 tuna can + lettuce+tomatoe+cucumber+1 tbsp of mayonnise (3 days a week), sunday i eat for dinner a low fat yogurt and soem grapes or apple. Well, since phase 2 i've only lost 6 pounds more. Can someone tell me if i'm doing this right or do i need to change something? is the weight loss goin to slow? also add + 4 days a week excersice (gym): 1.2 min cardio. | Well for starters, congratulations on your wonderful progress so far! Any loss is hard and phase 1 is the hardest to get through...so...CONGRATULATIONS :Hug2: on making it this far! Keep up this great mental attitude and you will go far! NO LOSS IS TOO SLOW, IT IS STILL A LOSS!...WOO HOO! Now, to answer your questions on if 'your doing this right?'...you have the hang of it, yes. But aren't you getting extremely bored with this menu?...it seems kinda drab...Mix it up a bit girl!...just because your eating right, dosen't mean you have to sacrafice taste...here are some pointers on how to mix it up, as well as maybe speed up your weight loss.... #1. Breakfast: Cut back on the oatmeal...yes it's the "good for you kind", but I find the more you eat these, the slower you lose...eating oatmeal 4 days a week would be more of a phase 3 menu plan and your still on 2 right?...well, try having different things in there for your "good carbs", not just the oatmeal all the time. Throw in a whole grain english muffin w/ a slice of canadian bacon & egg instead...or try a whole grain tortilla wrapped around egg & low fat cheese...etc. (I am on phase 2 and enjoy a "good carb" for breakfast once in awhile for a treat, usually over the weekend.) #2. Snacks: Do you like hard boiled eggs? Pickles? Olives? They make for a great snack and you would be consuming a LOT less sugar than what you are now. How about a cheese stick? A few pieces of lunchmeat wrapped around some veggies? Peanuts/Almonds/Pistachios....having fruit for every snack exposes you to lots of sugar...I try to limit my fruit intake...(but again...these are all my opinions as far as how to lose faster) #3. Lunch: Question...do you like salad/lettuce? I didn't see any salad on your menu. I eat salad 4 or 5 days a week for lunch...mixing it up with different ingrediance all week long...examples of all these things can be found in my journal now that I think about it...you could just go read that....I'm Tiny T...by the way...it's nice to meet you...lol....Check out the "Journal your way to thin" section of the board...maybe you could start your own journal there?....it not only helps with remembering what you eat, but you can post what exercise you do there, or even if you had a bad week and had to do a little cheating...it's nice to go back and read them every once in a while to keep yourself on track...it helps to track what foods help you lose faster and which ones slow you down too...check it out....you will find my daily post under a thread called "T's Journal". I keep track of everything I eat...OH CRAP...I have not done that today yet!...see how I am. Anyhow... I am here if you need more feedback... I'm with you...
