| Good morning every one. Just wondering how many of you drink V-8 juice. I try to keep it around for breakfast in case I don't have any veggies that morning. But the only thing is... has anyone else noticed that they are so loaded with sodium? I tried the low sodium one and I didn't like them as well. Theyre kinda bland tasting. I thought maybe I could buy the low sodium ones and maybe add something to make them taste better. Any ideas? I thought about adding a little sf sweetener to them, maybe splenda or (Altern) which is what I use. It is walmarts version of splenda same thing but much cheaper. Have a great day on the beach.

| I don't drink V8 or tomato/veg. juice in general, but have heard others comments on the low sodium version. Some really like it though, so it seems to be an individualized response. Rather than sweetening it with sucralose, I'd think about spicing it up with other spices. Maybe some hot sauce or ground black pepper for instance? Onion or garlic powder? Don't really know. Some people who don't like V8 find heating it and making it more like a tomato soup more enjoyable. (I don't like tomato soup though either!) I'd say just keep experimenting! I'm just not a fan of sweetening things that aren't sweet to begin with or contain natural sugars like tomatoes. I think there is a value in a lifestyle change to start to learn to like foods in their more natural formats and flavors. Sometimes we just have to be willing to put up with a "different" flavor profile than we are used to until it becomes the norm. My experience is that our taste buds change around pretty quickly if we let them. | |||||||||||

| Thank you so much for the tips RedRox. I am not to crazy about hot sauce but the garlic or onion powder sounds good. I think I would like to try the V-8 with the garlic and onion powder together. I never thought about heating it up... Good idea.

| Hey RedRox...Just wanted to let you know that I tried the low sodium V-8 with the garlic powder and it was yummy. I'm sure that I haven't been having enough veggies for breakfast like the SBD recommends...Cant think of many veggies that would be good for breakfast? I buy the frozen stir fry pepper mix, it has red, yellow, green peppers & onions.I cook them with eggs in a little olive oil & sometimes I have spinach & eggs. Just want to clarify that I don't eat these every day,I know its not good to do that. But anyway the V-8 will help me fill that void. Thanks again

| personally i'm not that big a morning veggie eater myself. some black beans and green peppers in my morning 1 egg omelette (which accompanies my cereal or oatmeal) is about the best I do myself. I probably had a few more in P1 with the veggie quiche cups and celery/PB stuff. | |||||||||||
