Default Dried fruits

Why isn't dried fruits on the list? When can I eat that again? I love figs, raisins, and all other dried things! I think those are the hardest things to let go off for me.. I have the old book and it doesn't say anything.. I'm doing my second week of phase 1 but i want to prepare myself for phase 2!

Because for most of those they are much higher in GI because the sugars are so concentrated and probably the original fruits were perhaps higher in GI to begin with although not high enough to be limited. Dried plums (aka prunes), dried apricots and dried apple rings (I'm assuming without any added sugar in the ingredients list) are on the P2 list though. Be sure to check the food list sticky threads in the appropriate forums here for info on the mostly latest foods lists. (they haven't been updated for the Supercharged book, but really very little changed from the previous lists you see here.) Personally I really like the organic turkish dried apricots I get at my local healthier foods emporium. They aren't "sulfurized" (preserved) so they are dark in color, more like prunes, instead of that plasticky looking orange/yellow kind and I think they taste much better. More of a rich flavor and I think they are sweeter. (my wife still prefers the orange ones though!) If a recipe calls for raisins, I just chop 'em up into smaller pieces and they work pretty much the same. Be sure to check the food list for recommended quantities of each. You still don't get a lot of them, but after P1 they taste like little sugar pills! Better n' candy!!
