Default Three days in Charleston... give me strength!

Hi, all! I'm in Charleston with my husband for his company meeting, which means I'm on my own primarily... I've just ordered room service and had a big omelet, grits, two slices of wheat toast and coffee. It was so good, and this trip is not something that happens often, so I'm not going to kick myself TOO hard. But I'm in my 2nd week of Phase 2 and I don't want to get too far off track. Could someone please kick my butt? I'll kick someone else in exchange when I'm feeling stronger. Help! Tell me not to give up!

OK...you asked for it!

OMG JENNY!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!! Don't slip up now, your doing so good and your off to such a great start!....stick to your guns girl...eat that omelete and skip the grits & toast next time...being on 'vacation'...heck, enjoy the occasional treat...it is okay to slip up...but only if you know when to say when....you have to know when to stop!!! I could beat you up all day if that's what you want, but as long as you know what your doing, there is really no reason for it...and from the sounds of it...you DO know what your doing and what you've done....YOU BAD GIRL!!!....OMG!!!....now....Jump back on track and get back at it my friend!... STAY DETERMINED!!!

Have a good time but stay away from Paula Dean!! (Isn't her place in charleson?)

Paula deen is in savannah.(I just love her!) Have fun! Charleston is a great town, go sight seeing there are some beautiful things to see, homes, museums ect. Go walk it off in the warm weather and be more careful. You can still have fun and eat reasonably healthy. If you absolutley have to have something make sure it is worthwhile and remember the 3 bite rule(normal bites, not big mouth bites)

Ha! You guys are GREAT! I am so enjoying my time away from real life and yep, Charleston is wonderful. Listen, speaking of Paula Dean, I was in a shop yesterday and overheard a woman talking about her brother, who'd asked her to pick up his suit, sounded like. Turned out her brother was Alton Brown. It was fun listening to her talk with the clerk about him (seems the clerk knew the family).
Thank you so much for "kicking my butt." You're right, Tiny T, I know what I'm doing, but I really do need the support and you all were right there! Back to the real world in Greenville, SC, later today... and back to my SB-stocked kitchen and my normal routine. I'll be back begging for exercise support soon! Thanks again!

I have a silk shirt that is mult-tone browns in large broad vertical stripes I call my "Alton Brown" shirt!! I heart AB!! He gives hope to food geeks everywhere! I hope he is a nice guy in a real life! I'd hate to find out he's a jerk!! LOL!!

Wow! I need to get out more! I had to Google Paula Dean and Alton Brown. Didn't have a clue who either one of them was.

Thanks, Jilly, you're exactly right. Do you guys think I should do Phase 1 again? I'm not sure how that works; is it a bad idea to go back and forth? Should I just continue on? I did much, much better after that breakfast, but definitely didn't drink enough water and definitely didn't eat enough veggies. I'm the type who gets an A- and instead of being excited, I'm PO'd that it's not an A and I feel discouraged... I DON'T want to do that with this because I know how great I feel when I'm eating right and feeling accomplished. What would you do to get back in the "zone"? Thank you so much!
