| So, my first two weeks of SBD (I started in Phase Two, given that I was coming from a 46lb loss/1year with Atkins already) are over, and I'm not too sure how to weigh in the last two weeks, actually. I experienced HORRENDOUS PMS this month, the BEST of which was a 6.5lb water weight gain (the worst? Rock hard *ahem* breasts. OW!). So I lost 4.5lbs of that over the last week, which - during normal circumstances - would be AMAZING because I haven't lost 4.5lbs in one week in I don't know how long. Though the likely reason for it is simply that TOM is over, and not that I'm an SBD superstar. So - I'll reevaluate at the end of this week, instead!

| Sounds like you're doing fine with SBD. Maybe your body is still adjusting to the dietary changes. As you know, weight loss is slower when you don't have as much to loose. | ||||||||||

| Hey guys- hope you didn't miss me too much. I've been so busy and haven't had much time to get to the computer, anyway I just thought i would say hello. I've been in phase 2 now about 2 weeks, and my wt loss has just come to a hault. I was wondering if any of you experienced this and how long I might expect to stay here before it starts going back down? Well gotta run or I'll be late for work have a great day everyone! ![]() | |||||||||||

| Ms D, I was wondering how you were doing. Glad to hear you're still hangin' in there! Yeah, the plateaus have happened to me. If I just kept being persistent, it would finally go down, sometimes even by 2-3 pounds, but it did take a while sometimes (once around 6 weeks). I think everyone's different in how it goes. Some things that sometimes help: increase intensity or length of exercise or muscle/strengthening exercise to increase metabolism. Watch for too much nuts, cheese, legumes, or too large portions. | ||||||||||

| Thanks for the info, I was beginning to get a bit discouraged! Glad to know that it's not just me. It has been nearly 3 wks and i haven't lost a lb, actually put one or 2 back on...but I can't say much TOM is quickly approaching, so i think I just stay off the scale until it passes then see how i'm doing! I have been trying to walk more, and last night i was out playing w/the neighbor girls and throwing a baseball and running around and stuff...it was quite fun...made me feel like a kid again :cloud: well again Thanks and I'll keep everyone posted on my progress! | |||||||||||
