| I am on my third week with SB, the first two weeks i lost 20 pounds and now im on my third week and only lost .5 pounds. When i started on phase 2 i started eating the SB pizza's. I am also watching caloried and im only eating about 1300 a day, before SB i was eating about 4000. Why has my weight loss stopped? Calorie wise im great, only thing i added every day was the whole wheat pizza. Somebody told me to eat a piece of cake and continue on the diet and it will jump start my metabolizm again! | I wouldn't worry about it at all. This is very common in most diets, you lose a great deal the first two weeks and then your body starts to adjust to the new way of eating. Your still losing and doing amazingly, so don't worry, keep up what your doing and relax.

| I would say absolutely do NOT eat cake. That would go against one of the main things that makes SBD so successful. That would undo some of the work you did to clear the bad carbs out of your system. Refined carbs might send you back into craving again. You're doing great!! Congratulations on your 20.5 pound loss!!! The weight loss does slows down when you start Phase 2. Some people even gain a bit. The body is adjusting to the introduction of new carbs. Alot of the weight loss in Phase 1 is water. Now you're starting to really lose fat, & that is slower AND more permanent. It would probably help to cut out the pizzas for a while, or have one just occasionally & see if that makes a difference. Those Kraft foods aren't meant to be used more than occasionally. Whole foods are best. It does help sometimes to change things up a bit, if the body has acclimated to a routine. You could try other changes in what you're eating. Keep up the good work!! | The weight loss will start up again after your body adjusts to eating carbs again. But like Nancy said, the first two weeks is water weight. So that loss is the water you were retaining and you flushed out all the sugars you've been eating. Since you re-introduced carbs, your body is holding on to a wee bit of the water from the carbs and once it adjusts it will let it go again. We call this an initial "bump" on Phase 2. Have you read the stickies at the top of Phase 2 on how to transition into Phase 2? Maybe you should stop eating the pizzas and try the phasing in approach. The convenience foods are ok in a pinch but don't live on them. Learn to rely on good, whole foods and you will be in the loss column again. If you lost 20 pounds the first two weeks, you will definitely lose at a good clip going forward, but be realistic do not expect 10 pounds a week to come off. Fat is lost more slowly than water weight, but the fat loss is longer lasting so take heart in that and for now, use this time to learn about the foods you are eating. What is good for you, what isn't and how & what you want to eat going forward. Make sure you exercise. It's still about calories in/ calories out. You did great on Phase 1 so I know you'll do wonderful going forward! Congratulations! | ||||||||||
