Default What now?

Good morning everyone from Texas! I thought I was at my goal weight but got on the scales recently and looks like I have had too many splurges. I think I am stressed about certain things going on in my life and have been indulging in every weekend splurges. I got most of my weight off by the beginning of this summer and have actually done very well, but am not sure what to do now that I want to lose another 5-6 lbs. Do I go back to Phase 1 for about a week or keep plugging along with Phase 2 but skip the alcohol until I am at goal weight? I don't want it to sound like I have been imbibing every day but for sure on the weekends. I think this is slowing me down not to mention my good judgment with eating is impaired..lol. Comments/advice please! Thanks!

Kind of a personal choice I think. For me personally, I just hated P1 and I don't enjoy that level of restriction and I'm not a big fan of returning to P1 to jump start weight loss or to try to lose a few extra pounds. It just reminds me of "dieting" too much. But Dr. A provides it as an option and a strategy in his books, so I think it's a valid option if you decide that is the way you want to go. I tend to prefer just running a real tight P2 for awhile and making sure I am getting enough exercise in as well. I watch portions of calorie dense items like nuts, cheeses, treats, and maybe cut out a starch and/or fruit serving somewhere and give it some time. So I think either tactic is fine. Just kind of depends on which one you think works better for your personality and situation and preferences and gives you the best chance of it being effective for you!

Thanks RedRox...as always you are so great about replying and giving tips/advice. I think all in all I am doing "good"..just a bump in the road I will get over. I need to remember that food/alcohol is not going to solve any problem or help any stress I have, but just make it worse. I just need to tighten the reins a bit. Have a good week!

I'm a big fan of following your instincts! It's not rocket science. But sometimes we just need someone to point out the obvious and reconfirm what we already know to be valid for our own situation. I'm pretty sure I just presented options! LOL!
