| Hi I've started SBD before with great success and due to life, etc. stopped and need to restart! I've seen 2 schools of thought and would like your input! 1. Do phase 1 for the full 2 weeks. 2. Do phase 1 until cravings are gone then go on to phase 2. What do you guys feel is the best way to go???? Susan | ||||||||||

| Personally I like to go with Phase one until I just really feel that the cravings are gone and I can control my carb intake again. Over Easter I did not do well and the craving returned full force, it was horrible but we are back on the right track again. Keep us posted! | |||||||||||

| I think it depends on how long you've been off of SB? If it's only been a week or so, then just do phase 1 until you know you have got through the cravings. If it's been more than a couple of weeks, I'd start fresh and follow the plan, phase 1 for 2 weeks. Good Luck!!! Keep us posted on how you are doing! | |||||||||||

| I agree that it depends on how long you've been off SBD... If you just cheated a bit over the holiday, go back to phase 1 till your cravings go away....if you've been totally off track for a while, do the full 2 weeks for sure! | |||||||||||

| 'In reference to staying on phase 1 only until the cravings go away or for the 2 weeks... Why is it frowned upon to do phase 1 for an additional week or 2 if it would help to lose more quickly? If you are comfortable in the 1st phase, and not hungary, wouldn\'t it be ok to do that???\r\nPeggy' | ||||||||||

Phase 1 is made more to detox your body from all the sugar & carbs it's used to...it's supposed to help gain control of your blood sugar levels again. Once that happens, weight loss will happen, even if your eating phase 2 foods. The biggest rule IMO: Eat every 3 hours! You have to fuel your body every 3 hours with something...(peanuts, cheese stick etc..) in order to keep your blood sugar levels steady...this is the only time your body will burn stored fat. I eat 6 times a day...and I've lost 20 lbs. in 2 months..even while eating carbs once in awhile...like on phase 2!...(I just don't eat them every day) | |||||||||||

| Thanks...I do take a mulit vitamin as well as extra calcium. I am glad to hear I could stay pase 1 longer. I had done atkins years ago and stayed on induction for months...lost the weight quickly. But then again, here I am again. I don't need to lose too much, 25 would be good, 30 great. I do try to eat throughout the day. I keep pistacios, string cheese, low fat cheese, veggies and cooked chicken in the house, and I drink water all day long. I think I will be ok. I am afraid if they say I can have "a piece" of chocolate, it will be come more, you know? The longer I stay completely away the better. Thanks again for the advice, Peggy | ||||||||||
