| Just wondering how everyone is coming up with their "goal weight". I'm 5'6" and currently weigh 172 (started at 181). My mini-goal was 170 with hopes of being 165. I will be a size 12 then. Oh, and I'm 42 years old. I just picked a weight that seemed realistic, but I know it's rather high for my "ideal weight" whatever that is. Anyway, how did you all decide your goals???

| I just googled the words 'ideal body weight calculator'....got tons of them...then I ran the calculators on several different sites...picked a happy medium. My suggested body weight ran between 118-155 lbs....wow...that's quite a range huh? I originally picked 150 because it was where I would be called 'normal' weight range instead of being 'overweight'...but....if I get down to 120...holy crap....well, I'd just be a little hottie then huh?....lol Maybe I'll re-think that once I reach my 150 goal....it's getting closer...I can almost taste it...and it's YUMMY!!!! | |||||||||||

| My doctor told me that someone who is 5'7 (Age 28) ideally is 135lbs. However, realistically anything under 159 lbs. is when they stop considering you overweight or obese...for that height. So I set my short term goal for 165lbs. and then I'll hopefully get to 150 in the end. Now I'm at 196lbs. and I started at 228lbs. | ||||||||||
