Hey all ... I wanted to implement a ticker program for this bb.

this is the third time i have tried to put a ticker on me... i have created 2, 1 on sbdbb, and 1 on tickerfactory, I cant seem to get anything to work. can you walk me through getting it going on here?

well what do you do after you create them?? Once they give you the various code options use the one for phpBB forums or BBCode depending on what they call it. Avoid the HTML versions. Highlight all the code and copy it, (put the cursor on the highlighted text and right click and select "copy" or use the CTRL-C key combination) In a separate Internet Explorer window, open up this forum and login. Look across the top blue row and on the far left side is a title for "User CP". Click on that to open the Control Panel (CP). Look down the options on the left side and find the one to "Edit Signature" and click on that. Click in the text block to activate the cursor there and then paste all the code you just copied. (right click and select "Paste" or use the CTRL-V key combination) Then scroll down and click the "save signature" button or click the "preview signature" button to see if it is working first. I think that should work, but I'm not as familiar with how they work here as well as I am in other forum software.

The tickers are working great and I see some more people have started using them. If you send me some graphics I can customize your ticker for you.

Just send me a transparent background and a slider and I will upload them for you.

There is a blue bar near the top of each page with white lettering in it. Each of those "items" is clickable. The one titled "User CP" which is short for User Control Panel includes all the options for updating/editing/modifying your Profile. There is also a link in the drop down menu under "Quick Links" to change some of your profile options including your signature.
