Don't sacrifice flavor for real high fiber. Plus those are sort of frankenfood breads. Do you know that the jury is out on soy flour? There have been articles claiming that it is not as healthy as you think. Soy in it's pure form like soy beans is healthy but once you process the soy, it becomes carcinogenic.
So really, don't go the low carb route. (And I say this having been an Atkineer for years). I'm not bashing low carb, just the low carb bread products. |
so glad you said that...i think one reason people may have some difficulty with this is that they treat it as a low carb diet.
remember...we are trying to eat healthy, cut out the bad foods, exercise and in general develop better eating habits.
and yeah, low carb bread is horrible..just horrible...
