When can I start drinking wine on this diet?

Hello Tom!

To answer your question, wine is allowed in phase 2 of the SB plan.

From the SB book:
Quote:
White wine and even whiskey, are safer bets than beer because they're made from different grains, vegetables or fruits. Not that whiskey is a part of any serious weight-loss effort, of course. White wine is better. Best of all is red wine, because it brings with it some significant, proven cardiac benefits thanks to the resveratrol contained in the grape skins.
Dr. Agatston says a glass or two of red wine occasionally is actually good for your health and not terribly fattening.

I am happy to hear that and love red wine and drink it. But if on Atkins it says that wine or any alcohol, dissrupts the fat burning process, wouldn't that hold true no matter what diet you are on? I can't imagine that fat burning is only a product of ketosis.....
