For those of you have are having sucess with this lifestyle, what has been the most helpful for you to do it and stick with it? Is it just your will power, a buddy (spouse, friend,...), was it the results?

Although I am not sure I am the best one to answer this question, I will give my thoughts. There is so much that goes into it, but the one thing that I credit for my success thus far is making the decision that it would happen. I know that sounds like I am oversimplifying it, but that is the most important thing to me. Through thick and thin, if the decision is made, there is never a question.

Hmmm... When I was wavering early on through some frustrating plateaus, support at an online forum similar to this one was really helpful in helping me to understand that the rate of loss really didn't matter if I just stayed the course and worked to continue to make it a fundamental lifestyle change. Other than that it was just how much better I felt overall and how much the quality of my life seemed to be improving. I had always kind of scoffed at the idea that "we are what we eat", but once I could FEEL how good healthy foods made me feel so much better and how crap foods made me feel, well really crappy!, it just sort of became a no-brainer. I still find it rather interesting that so many who come back to eating a SB lifestyle after going back to their old ways almost always cite how much better they felt while eating SB foods as one of their primary reasons for trying it again. Apparently those good feelings weren't enough to keep them at it, but they were for me. Can't really explain those differences, but I know I never want to feel as crappy all the time as I used to. I've now done it both ways and for me this is the way to go!

for me, being happy is the key that motivates me most!

the idea of being forced to lose weight or having unrealistic goals will just
add more stress to myself --> feeding myself --> gaining weight
Urghhh!

it all changed thou, after i bought dis ebook EAT STOP EAT

it taught me the various ways of having a well balanced diet
while enjoying food the way it is! ((:

PS: i'm a sucker for FOOD!
