| I'm nearing the end of Phase One. While I'm finding this a very easy WOE to follow, my weight loss is very very slooooooooooow. I'm accustomed to losing quite a bit of weight in the first couple of weeks in a diet, and I'm certainly not experiencing the "8 to 15 pounds" promised in the book. I haven't cheated at all, and my portions are good. I drink plenty of water, and am active. Is this just a slow diet? Or am I doing something wrong?? I'm highly motivated, but I stay motivated when I see results. Advice? Words of wisdom? | ||||||||||

| It really is a slow weight loss program. Most people don't realize that 8-13 lbs on the cover of the book. You probably just had less water weight to lose this time around so saw less dramatic results than perhaps someone else. You can always list typical meal plans with quantities and timing and see if anything sticks out to anyone. P1 isn't really the weight loss phase anyway. The goal of P1 is normalizing blood sugar levels throughout the day and helping to get rid of the big blood sugar/insulin swings that create more hunger and to lay the foundation of healthy eating that P2 will build upon. Any actual weight loss in P1 is just a bonus IMO, although I agree it does help with the motivation factor! | |||||||||||
