Question Where can I find .....

whole wheat pastry flour? I usually forget to really look for it when I'm at the store. But as far as I can remember, I've never seen it at any stores I've been to. Do I need to go to a specialty store to find it?

I don't usually look for it, but I've seen it in bulk at Whole Foods.

Darn! There's that Whole Foods again! I guess I'm just going to have to break down and drive over to St. Louis. I wish we had one closer and I didn't have to drive on the same roads as those crazy St Louis, MO. drivers! Plus there's a ton of construction going on right now. :speechless:

I guess I'll go tomorrow. If you don't hear from me again, you'll know what happened to me. LOL

You be careful if you go to St Louis, Kiddo. Everyone knows about those crazy St Louis drivers! :jester:

But that whole wheat pastry flour may be lots of other places, too. I've never looked much.

Luv, I've seen it in the health food section of my regular grocery store as well as at Whole Foods.

It's made by Arrowhead Mills, so I went on to their website and they have a store locator thingy that works by putting in your zip code. Look at the top for "Where to Find" and punch in your zip code when that page comes up.

When you search for it on their site, it just comes up as pastry flour but it's organic and whole grain and 3 grams of dietary fiber per serving.

Here's the link:

Here are the stats:
Pastry Flour

Pastry Flour, the "Wheat of Spring". Made from soft wheat berries grown each spring in the fertile San Luis Valley of Colorado, our pastry flour provides a finer texture and lighter consistency with lower gluten over hard winter wheat flour, perfect for flaky and delicate pastries and cakes.

Benefits
Good Source of Fiber; Whole Grain Flour; Dairy Free; A Sodium Free Food; Low Fat; Vegetarian.
