The plan was to leave work at 1:00 as usual, come straight home to the salad I had waiting and then get my windows washed before the cold spell that is coming tomorrow. BUT I couldn't leave work until 2, got in the car and saw the package I promised DD3 I'd send her today, so I drove to the post office nearest my job and they were closed for lunch!! So I drove to my hometown post office and they had only one person working. The line was out the door. And like an idiot, I waited. By the time I got out of there, 3:15 believe it or not, I was so hungry and weak. Oh, and TOM came today. I go to my car and this gentleman comes over and tells me he fixes dents at people's homes for a reasonable rate, not like new, but a big improvement, and would I like the dent in my car fixed. I'm not that stupid but I guess it was a combo of hormones and low blood sugar, but I said YES!! So this guy follows me home and does "improve" the dent in my driveway for a few hundred dollars. It looks like it was fixed in my driveway. Then I called my husband and told him what I had done. Then I cried for a good hour. (Oh, I should say, hubby was really good about the whole thing, never made me feel stupid. God bless him.) But the success is, with all that stress and feeling really bad about myself, I did not cheat at all! Whippee! And I'm over it. (My blood sugar must be back up) I mean the guy promised it would look better, not look like new, and that's what I got. Sort of. From now on I'm throwing nuts in my purse for such times as these.
