| Wow! Looks like lots have signed on today! Looking forward to reading others' success stories! Tiny T, I'm hoping you see this. Where do you find low carb yogurt??? I've looked everywhere. I see the purple container by dannon, but I think that's like 11 or 12 grams of carbs. I'm making myself wait until Friday to weigh in. I'm going to try to log in what I'm eating daily until Friday, so if any of you (French? Tiny T?) have any helpful suggestions, please send them my way. Yesterday I didn't eat enough. I had some tuna fish (in water) with very little Miracle Whip Lite. For dinner, went to Texas Roadhouse and had a small filet mignon, caesar salad (no croutons), green beans. I didn't have ANY of those yummy dinner rolls OR alcohol. Today, I had 2 eggs and some bacon, one can (small) tuna and a very little bit of MW Lite. I got home from work at 5:30 and ate some FF Jello with Cool Whip. A bowl. For dinner (now), I just ate a taco salad...lettuce, ground round beef, mozz. cheese (only 5 grams of carbs.; the grated kind from Sam's Club), some Ranch dressing (just the regular...not lite or anything, but the carbs aren't bad). Oh, I also snacked on several black olives. Okay...any suggestions here? I walked for 45 minutes on my lunch hour. See ya all tomorrow!!! Good luck everybody! | ||||||||||

| I get my yogurt at Kroger...and the only thing I can see is your not getting your snacks are you? Eat something every 3 hours...and watch the sugar content in that ranch dressing...it is probably very high. Other than that, your menu looks good and you seem to be doing well...keep us posted on the weigh in when it happens...and if you need anything else, just ask. Your doing GREAT!!!! | Well, today's menu consisted of 3 slices of Canadian bacon (I think that counted as one serving), 2 eggs--midmorning snack: some moz. cheeze--lunch: tuna fish with very little Miracle Whip Lite--midafternoon snack: a little more moz. cheese. Dinner: a salad at Ruby Tuesday's. I included eggs, cheese (feta and, I think it was grated parmasean), lima beans, green beans, 3 grape tomatoes, broccoli, zuchinni, low fat balsamic dressing (not sure if that was low in carbs?). Oh, when I got home from work at around 5:30 I ate some black olives. Love 'em! I see there's 1 gram of carb in 4 of them. I could eat a 1/2 the jar! I probably eat 6 when I'm snacking on them. I also have had probably 2 small glasses of skim milk. Does anyone object to, have any thoughts, suggestions, pointers, etc. on this? I walked for only 30 mins. today. Trying to hang in till Friday. I tried on a pair of slacks I'm dying to fit into and still don't fit into them,...but the slacks I wore today are starting to bag a little. I didn't want to "jinx" anything by weighing myself. I promised I wouldn't weigh myself till Friday and I'm going to stick to that! Thanks for all the support!!! On Phase 1 can I have the Hunt's Spaghetti sauce? I'd like to mix it with some lean hamburger, spinach and mozz. cheese. Would this be allowed on Phase 1? | ||||||||||

| Thanks Tiny T! Okay...just want to review some things I keep wondering about. I feel like such a dork not figuring this out all by myself. I sure do appreciate the help. I went and bought some of that Hunt's Garlic and Herb Spaghetti sauce. It has: 1g fat, 8gs. carbs, and 5gs. sugar. This is a 1/2 cup serving. Is this compliant with Phase 1??? Other foods I was wondering about (Phase 1, of course): 1- Beef Stick snack pieces (by Old Wisconsin). Serving size: 1 oz., Total Fat: 9 grams; Saturated Fat: 4 grams, Carbs: 0 2- Pepperoni. Serving size: 16 slices, Total Fat: 13 grams; Saturated Fat: 4 grams, Carbs: 0, Sugar: 0 Is it okay to snack on this stuff throughout the day?? Or is the fat too high? That's the one thing I didn't understand about SB. If it says 0 carbs I was under the impression I could eat "all" I wanted during Phase 1 Today's menu consisted of: Brkst: 2 eggs, 4 slices of Canadian Bacon, small glass of milk mid-morning snack: 1/2 cup cottage cheese lunch: tuna with very little MW lite mid-afternoon snack: 1/2 cup cottage cheese dinner: taco salad--lettuce, ground beef, mozz. cheese, black olives, small amount of spicy ranch dressing (which only has 1 gram of sugar, 2 grams of carbs, 16 grams total fat...is that okay?) small glass of milk snack for later on: SF Jello 2 MORE DAYS TILL THE BIG WEIGH-IN!!! | Tiny T, thanks for the helpful suggestions. That's what I want...HONESTY. I'm working my ass off to....get my ASS OFF. Thanks for telling me what I need to hear! Okay..Thursday's menu: Brkfst: 4 slices of Canadian Bacon (one serving), 1 T. Natural peanut butter. (weird combination, I know. I was out of eggs and my world was turned upside down this morning. Love my eggs.) Mid-morning snack: SF Jello Lunch: 1 small can of tuna with NO mayo or anything. A Yogurt. It had 11 grams of carbs. I still can't find the stuff with less carbs. I'll keep looking. Mid-afternoon snack: 1/2 c. cottage cheese One Breyer's Carb Smart fudge bar. IS THIS OKAY??? I ate one. It has 7 grams of fat (4.5 sat. fat), total carbs: 9 carbs. Sugars: 3 grams. Give it to me straight Tiny T...was this overdoing it for Phase 1??? Dinner: lean hamb. mixed with Hunts spaghetti sauce, spinach, mozz. cheese. 2 small glasses of skim milk during the day. TOMORROW'S THE WEIGH IN!!! I'M NERVOUS! Didn't walk today, although I do walk to work every morning. It takes me 15 mins. to get there. | ||||||||||

| Well...I'm TOTALLY bummed. I've been looking forward to this day all week. I've been doing everything right. I just don't understand. The scale read: 208.0 lbs. I only lost 1 frickin' pound!!!!! What the hell??? Although, this week, I am paying attention to the number after the ( . ) now. Atleast it was 208.0 I atleast expected the scale to read more like 205 if not more. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??? And, yes...I DO feel a lot better. I'm going to stick with this because I don't know where else to go where I feel this good while dieting. I CANNOT do Weight Watchers. I can't "tease" my body with ANY amount of carbs. Eating them just makes my life more stressful because I'm hungry all the time. I'm not hungry on this diet but know I'm not getting enough vegetables in. I don't know...what is there left to say? I'm disappointed in the 1 lb. loss. I'm hoping when my monthly is over, NEXT Friday will show a greater weight loss. | ||||||||||

| Your monthly is SO your problem...you should be happy losing 1 lb during that "joy"...that's an accomplishment in itself! I never expect a loss during that time of the month woman! 1 LB is simply AWESOME...don't get discouraged my friend. My best friend, who is basically eating the same menu as me, and working out w/me, gained 1 lb the week of her monthly once...and I had lost 2.2 that week...NOW SHE was bummed out...so your 1 lb is KILLER!!! If you keep it up, next week you will for SURE see better results. It just HAS to happen...I've seen it work. It does work...IT WILL WORK!!! WE CAN DO THIS! ... | wow!!! i decided to weigh myself this morning. i know friday was my official weekly weigh in, and as you all know, i was VERY bummed. i'd gone from 209 to only 208.0 in one week. but, i'm dealing with the monthly. so, i decided to weigh myself this morning, actually expecting to have gained because i drank a couple glasses of red wine last night and ate 2 girl scout cookies. well this morning...the scale read: 206.8!!!!!! I was so ecstatic! Now, THAT was the sort of weight loss i was looking for. when i reach 199 lbs. i'll adjust my ticker factory scale. Anyway...here's my menu for Fri: brkfst: 1-1/2 egg, cheese and spinach omelet, 3 slices of canadian bacon. mid-morning snack: 1/2 c. cottage cheese. lunch: taco salad, with not a whole heck of a lot on it! i went to a restaurant and asked for the taco salad without that big ol shell. well, they hardly put any taco meat on it or cheese. it was not worth the money i spent on it, and i guess i just LOVE my own taco salad too much (too much infor...put i was pissed having to pay for that) mid-afternoon snack: 1/2 c. cottage cheese. dinner: lean hamb. with spaghetti sauce, spinach and small amount of mozz. cheese, some black olives. after dinner snack: red wine, low carb fudge bar...and, i'm embarrassed to say it, but 2 girl scout cookies! But, I lost 3 lbs. it turns out this week. BUT i'm hoping for more come next friday!!!! | ||||||||||
