Default Small "Weight Related" Victories

I thought we could use this thread to record some of our non-scale related victories. Does anyone have anything to share? Don't be shy.

Did you pass up that sugar/ high fat/ white flour laden dessert at a family dinner recently?

Have you been able to fit into a nice outfit that use to be tight?

Has someone noticed your weight loss or that you're eating healthier?

Any of these are small victories and improvements in our lives and we should be proud of them. Do you have any to share with us? Maybe your post could make a difference in someone else's resolve to stay the course.

I passed up the garlic rolls at my favorite Italian restaurant on Friday night. The rest of my meal was completely legal too. I had one glass of red wine, a dinner salad with one tablespoon of their house italian dressing and a bowl of mussles, in marinara (no sugar in their marinara -yay!) with chunks of fresh garlic in it!

The meal was devine and I was proud of myself for not eating even one roll. They smelled wonderful! My husband was with me and he ate one then we told the waiter to remove the basket!

I've been on SBD for just shy of 1 month (started 2/8) and have lost 25 lbs.!

I still have a lot of weight to lose (100+) but am thrilled with my success so far! I'm not hungry, and I don't feel like I have to be "militant" like I was when I was on Atkins. I think this will make a big difference in my success--I don't even feel like I'm on a "diet"!

That's wonderful, Laurin! I also felt that the Atkins plan was too strict for me. I somehow lost 50 pounds in the beginning, but I couldn't stay on it and didn't lose any more the next year. And then I had a stressful family situation and I gained back 20 of it! I figured it was time for a change.

You are doing very well. Twenty five pounds in one month! Now that is something to definitely brag about! :Hug2:

It's time to brag a little.

I went into work last night and my lead worker said, "You've lost weight!"

Wow! I've only lost 17 pounds so far and I thought it would take a few more pounds before someone would even notice it! And especially my lead worker, who doesn't seem to be very observant about things. :Sarcastic:

I wonder how long before anyone else notices?! And what's really cool is that I feel like my stomach looks so much flatter than before I started this diet! YAY! That's one of my problem areas.
