| Thanks for your reinforcement, guys! Absolutely, this weight control has all been with the SB. There's more of my story under the Forum, "Introduction"/Thread, Sticky "My name is Tom", (#13). With the SB way of eating, exercising (and life), it's the first time I've ever felt so in control of my weight. I've had lots of plateaus, when I would wonder if it was possible to ever lose again. This last one was 6 weeks! I changed several things before I got out of it. I exercised more consistently, I changed up how I exercised, I got more careful with my portions, I changed up what I was eating. Sometimes with plateaus, the body's gotten accustomed to a regular routine & goes more into maintenance. Shaking things up sometimes helps. I'm happy, but I've had too many setbacks to really be on Cloud 9 or to think that now I'll just be on Phase 3. Right now,I'm still viewing it like a recovering alcoholic, "One Day At A Time". | I must say, I'm usually NOT especially persistent. I have a tendency to just give up. What's really helped me to stick with this WOE (way of eating) is that I've realized how much I hate how lousy I feel when I eat a processed carb. It seems like a miserable, endless cycle of eating more & more empty foods, craving more, & never having enough. So when I decide not to eat some refined food, it's not so much because I would gain weight as that I hate how it leads me to feel and act. And I just feel so good in general when I'm eating the SBD way. When I'm in control of my eating like this, my whole life goes so much better. Believe me, if I can do it you can do it! | ||||||||||

| P.S. I realize it would be healthier to occasionally enjoy a treat in moderation (like just 3 bites). Hopefully, with time, I'll have more confidence that I can enjoy something special and different and not go off the deep end. I'm a work in progress!
