| Still dealing with my diagnosis. I've found that food doesn't "do it for me" anymore as far as comfort is concerned. There is nothing like curling up with a House episode, a good book, or some soothing music. After YEARS of dealing with it - I feel like I have made strides in my emotional eating and attachment to eating for comfort. How bloomin' sweet is that!! .... anyway been keeping on South Beach to the best of my abilities and happy to report... I am now below 270 Never thought I would see the day!!! | |||||||||||

| Hopped on the scale today - 264 ![]() Weight is still coming off slowly 4 lbs to my mini goal Things to celebrate: My heaviest weight was 350 In Dec when I decided to make the South beach commitment I weighed 291 In Jan when I started - I was at 286 Drs weight in last week - 270! (I blame it on my clothes) -- The coolest thing I've found is that being a foodie (I've always LOVED food), I can actually TASTE food now. After I got all that sugar and artificial additives out of my system, when I eat a burger I TASTE the beef... food just TASTES so much better!!! It is the flavors that are my satisfaction now and not the desire to feel "full" .... w00t!!! | |||||||||||
