| ... but no one would hear me! So I decided to "shout" it here! I started of at ~250, and am now down to 212. I can actually see my toes again But that's not the amazing thing. Those pants in the back of the closet that I haven't worn since before I got married (7 years ago)... I'm wearing them now. My wedding ring actually slips off my finger now rather than me having to pull it off (with considerable effort). My back pain is non-existent, and I sleep much better. Best of all, I actually have motivation to do things! My weight loss has leveled off, but is still moving in the right direction... Headed towards that elusive < 200 number Now that I've got that out... time to go prepare next week's meal plan! | ||||||||||

| That's awesome! Always celebrate your successes!! I think it's really all of the little (and big) things like that which reinforce why eating this way is just the way need to eat and not really a "diet". It's not so much losing the weight that is the big deal (although that's nice too!), but it's what that really means in terms of the quality of life and all the side benefits we either never really stopped to consider or expected. I haven't had more than a handful of TUMS in the last 5 years. Before I started, they were a regular part of a meal it seemed. Who knew?? Keep it up! It does slow down, and you might need to reevaluate either exercise programs in terms of frequency, duration and/or intensity along with portion sizes. As we get smaller, our bodies need fewer calories and if we keep roughly the same intake that net caloric deficit of intake vs expenditure tends to naturally become smaller and smaller and we might need to shake things up a bit to decrease intake or often preferably, increase the expenditure to get that net deficit back into a range that facilitates weight loss more than weight maintenance! (And don't be surprised that when you just keep eating this way in P2/P3 that you continue to go lower than you thought possible!) | |||||||||||
