Default Weigh In Week Two

Well, I just completed week two on Phase One and lost one pound the second week. That brings my total weight loss on Phase One to 5 lbs. I was a little discouraged but surfed around the board and found out there were others who also did not lose a lot of weight in Phase One. Plus there was a lot of encouraging advice so I am feeling fine now.
I will start Phase Two with one fruit (not in the morning) and one starch a day for the next two weeks.
No matter how slow the weight comes off I still feel this is a good eating plan just by the fact that I will only be eating good carbs.

Thanks as always,

Andrea

Thumbs up 7 lbs. for me

I just started Phase II on Thurs. and weighed myself yesterday and I have lost a total of 7 lbs. in a little over two weeks. After two days of starting SB I had lost 3 lbs. and a week later only 1 lb. I felt a little discouraged as well (I guess I want instant results LOL) but now I see that it's definitely coming off, just not as quickly as I want it to!

I have started with the one serving of fruit and starch and so far so good. It is most definitely a healthier way of eating for me so I'll keep plugging along. I have to admit I feel overwhelmed by it at times (like reading the labels at the grocery store and some nights making two dinners - 1 for me, 1 for my family) but w/the cooler weather on its way I plan on making large amounts of SB friendly soups and stews that can carry me through my lunches and dinners.

I have also been doing the interval training on my treadmill (I can power walk at 5 miles/per hour!) and drinking between 54-72 oz. of water a day. Anyway, it's nice to notice a difference in how my clothes fit and in how I feel! Like you I have been reading on the web about different people losing different amounts and that helped me too. Good luck to us both!

Thanks 5 Cat Woman,
I also will find it a lot easier with soups and stews. I was getting tired of the eggs for breakfast everyday so today I had Fiber One cereal as my first carb in 2 weeks. I just can't bring myself to eat meat for breakfast so knowing that I can have a carb will make things a lot easier. Plus I started eating plain low fat yogurt and I sprinkle cinnamon in it. I don't want to start using a lot of artificial sweeteners so my solution is definately an acquired taste!
I am drinking a lot of water but have to start the exercising. I know that will really help.

Keep up the great work! I feel more inspired now!

Andrea

Red face

That's great you can eat the yogurt w/out the sweetener. I have to admit that was the first time I used the stuff because I just couldn't eat the plain yogurt w/out it! I think I bought too many choices to have this week as far as starches go. I'm doing fine, but I wish I had just bought one thing (i.e., the whole wheat eng. muff.) so that it's not all staring me in the face! Oh well, at least I'll have plenty of stuff to last me several weeks! What's amazing to me is that I'm actually getting used to the V-8 juice in the morning, although I still have to let it get a little warm so that I can just drink it right down.

Glad to see we are almost in the same spot with this. You have motivated me too!
